What can I expect from a service call?

Is there any thing I should check?
- Main breakers or reset switches.
- Located in the main breaker panel are switches that can be re-set by
turning them off and then back on. If this breaker has tripped it may
indicate more serious problems.
- Float switches and safety controls
- Many A/C units have water overflow protection, if there is a plugged
drain then the unit may be off at the safety. This is a good indication it
is time for a total system cleaning.
- Dirty filters or coils.
- Dirty filters can severely restrict the flow of air and cause your A/C
to malfunction, Dirt on coils has the same effect only worse. Change your
filter and check to make sure there are no air restrictions due to dirt.
